If you need help on anything that pertains to Sable Heart, then just check out the topics below or fill out the form at the bottom with your questions, and I will hopefully be able to help you.

How the game works...

Sable Heart is a completely free horse sim game for users of all ages.  Nothing about the game is automatic (In other words, when you buy or sell something, the action won't take place right away.  Please be patient for the staff members to update the information using the forms that you submit to us.)  When you join Sable Heart all you have to do is follow a few simple steps to get into the swing of things.

1. Buy a stable.  You can do this by visiting the link in the Navigation bar that reads "Buy a Stable".  Choose one of the 3 stables on the page, fill out the form on the page, and submit it to get the stable.  You cannot view your stable from your member information on the "Members" page.  Each stable is a general stable that everyone can choose from.

2. Buy supplies.  You can do this by visiting the link in the Navigation bar that reads "Shop".  Choose from the items on the page, fill out the form at the bottom of the page, and submit the form to receive the items in the member information.

3.  Buy horses.  You can do this a number of ways.
     A.  Go to the "Buy a Horse" page.  Visit the "Sales" link to see what horses are up for sale.
     B.  Go to the "Buy a Horse" page.  Visit the "Humane Association" link to see what horses are for sale in the Humane Association.
     C.  Go to the "Buy a Horse" page.  Visit the "Create a Horse" link.  Fill out the form on the page including all of the important information needed and submit the form.
     D.  Go to the "Buy a Horse" page.  Visit the "Auctions" link.  If there are any horses for auction, then fill out the form below the Available horses with your bid.
     E.  Go to the "Humane Association" page.  Visit the Humane Association site.  Click on the link that reads "Horses for Sale" and then fill out the form on that page.  The form will give you a pop-up message that tells you that you will be sending a form via the Internet.  This is okay (it will not damage your computer in any way), click "Ok" and your form will be sent.

4.  Enter your horses in Races and Shows.  Visit the "Races and Shows" page.  Choose either the "Races" link or the "Shows" link.  Fill out the form on the page including your horse's name and ID number and which race/show you want to enter.

5.  Join a herd land.  Visit the "Herd Lands" page.  Choose one of the herd lands by clicking on the pictures.  Join the herd land by filling out the form on that page and submitting it.

6.  Play games and talk on the message board, and more!  Visit the "Games, Message Board, and More" page.  This page includes fun games, quizzes, a chat room, and a message board that you post question, games and comments in.

Those are the basic things that you need to do on the site.  There are more options of course.  If you have any questions, comments, or concerns then visit the "Help" page and fill out the form.  A staff member will respond to your question in a timely manner.  Thank you.

What is my ID number so that I can buy a stable and those types of things?
There are no longer ID numbers given out on the database.  This is why you must enter your correct email address in each form you fill out.  The email sort of acts like an ID.

Why hasn't my member information been updated?
Sometimes I get behind with updating because I get so many emails all at one time.  Sometimes if you created a horse or bought a stable or such, then it may not be under your player info. because I haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

I've joined, but my information isn't on the members page.  Why not?
Sometimes, if you don't include an email address or a preferred player name on your join form, then you won't be added to the database because I must have atleast an email address to be able to contact you about updates and such.  Also, if you don't have an original and unique player name, you may have a number after your name to signify it away from the others with the same name.

How long does it take for a foal to be born?
It takes a week (real time) for a foal to be born on the website.  Remember though, if you try to breed two horses that aren't of the same breed, then the request will be deleted.  Be sure to make definite that the two horses are the same breed before you try to breed them.

Where do I get supplies?
You buy supplies from the link that reads "Shop" on the navigation bar of the website.  You fill out the form with the supplies that you want, and then you're set!

How do I make more money?
One way you can make money is by owning stallions that you put on the STUD list (this is located on the "Horses" page of the website).  Everytime another member breeds a mare with one of your STUDs then you receive the money of the STUD fee.

Another way to make money is by having a job.  You can go on the "Jobs" page of the website and fill out the application, choosing one of the jobs on the list.  To have a job, you must create your own web page that contains all of the information that is entailed in that job.  Then, you send the URL to your web page on the form that you fill out on the "Jobs" page.

Yet another way to make money is to breed horses and then to sell them.  You decide what price you want to sell them for, and then you receive the money when another member buys the horse.  You can also put horses up for auction by deciding what your minimum bid for the horse will be, and then members will try to outbid each other for your horse.

Where is my member page?
Member names are listed under each seperate letter in the alphabet in alphabetical order.  All of your information is located on a page in the member database.

How do I get to see my stables and my horses?
Once your player name is posted on the member database, then your stable will be listed under your account.  Once your horses' pages are created, they also will be listed under your account.  You can't access your stable from your member information on the member database because there are only 3 general stables at every member's access.  Even though you don't share your personal stable with anyone else, they are generic so you can't actually go into the stable.  Your horses do have direct links from your member account on the database, however.  You can also access the horses on the "Horses" page of the website.

Why can't I see my horses when I hit the "Submit" button on my Create a Horse form?
You can't see the horses as soon as you send your form because nothing on the site is automatic.  The admin updates everything by hand so the horses get created when the admin gets on the site and creates their pages.  Please be patient.  We're going to try to automate the site sometime soon.

Why did my horses suddenly disappear?
If you don't buy a STABLE and SUPPLIES, then the Humane Association will claim your horses.  You may reclaim your horses, without having to worry about other people getting them, for up to one week after the horses are claimed.  After one week is up, the horses move to the Sales page and anyone who has a stable and supplies can buy your horse(s).
